I own a Quantaray medium back pack purchased 2005 at a Ritz York Pa retail store now closed. It is over 5 years old and has seen a lot of HARD use bordering on abuse. I have overloaded it to the point of it being difficult to close the zipper and it has never failed. It is still going strong. I purchased a 100-400mm lens in Westminster Md this past Monday 04-04-2011 I needed a 77mm filter for my new lens. I stopped at the Ritz camera in the Westminster mall and purchased the filter. I saw the large version of my medium backpack. It was made with the same rugged construction of the one I own now only a larger version. With a pocket for my laptop also. I need the larger bag to hold my growing arsenal of lenses my 4 550 Speedlites. This bag will not hold everything I take on location but it will reduce the number of bags I need.

I use the bag to hold by Nikon D 90 with four additional lenses (52mm, 25-70 mm, 70-200mm, 18mm fish eye)plus small accessories (data cables, battery recharge unit, 6 lens filters and one book). I also use the bag to store my laptop with battery recharge unit (13' x 10" x 1") when I travel. I have used this back pack for 8 months and the zippers and seams are failing. The seams are pulling apart and a couple of the zippers have broken. I like the storage capacity and the organization as it is convenient in this consideration. The seams pulling apart renders the back pack useless for my purposes.

zippers are good and the build quality seems pretty good for a lower cost backpack

I put 2 flashguns, 2 bodies, 1 wide angle lens and 1 long lens attached to the body. I love the paddings, its so thick, great protection for my gears.
What i dont like is the tripod strap.

Great carryall for the photographer who likes everything in one place. It will hold the larger lenses, when connected to the camera, or with a quick switch hold them off camera when another lens is mounted to the camera.
Only con: wish the straps for the tripod had quick connects for easy release.

The backpack is awesome. I would certainly recommend it to a friend. It is a bit on the heavy side, but the protection and storage it provides offsets the downside of the extra weight.
