Pure Digital products are high quality for the price. I was not expecting to get as much out of an under-$200 camcorder, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. Low light capability is good, picture stability excellent, and the video quality is only matched by cameras at twice the price. It's so light, you forget you're carrying it, which is great for backpacking. It uses standard AA batteries, which is always desireable. The only feature I'd like to see is expandable memory... I need more than just 60 minutes of video; I'd rather carry several SD cards and the camera with me than try and download my movies while on the go.

This product is brilliant. One of the few shortcomings of the earlier model was its 30 minute recording limit. Now, with 60 minutes there is more than enough time to capture great movies that record at 640x480 at 30fps and look wonderful. The camcorder even manages to trump all of those other $[...] and under 'hybrids' in the low light category. The Point and Shoot manages to record really good quality video even in a room with little light, which believe me you will be doing far more often than you realize. Many of those sweet and funny family moments will be after nightfall or with the curtains drawn. And the Point and Shoot will capture them all. And making your own DVDs is easy or you can just take them Wolf/Ritz/or CVS and have them make a DVD for you. I highly recommend this product to all video novices.
