This camera works great. The picture quality is great and shaking or moving your hand doesn't affect the photo so it's great for traveling photos. It's small and easy to use. The options are really simple to understand and you can change the settings to fit your personality.

I use this camera for everything. It has enough mega pixels to use professionally but is low maintenance and small enough to carry around for everyday pictures. I take photographs for clients, for friends, and for myself with this camera. I could not recommend a point and shoot more than the Canon Powershot SD1100 IS Digital Camera!

I've had this camera for about three months and I absolutely love it! I'm a casual photographer and I have been using my camera for family photos and travelling. It takes great pictures in all types of light, powers up fast, very small lag time, and even takes good pictures past its 3.0x zoom. It is also lightweight and easily fits into a jacket pocket or purse. Another great feature of this camera is it has a rechargable lithium ion battery. As long as I charge the battery before a trip I have no worries about losing power. As of now I have no complaints about this wonderful Canon at all!

This is my daughter's third camera in this model series. She loves it!!! She can be very rough with this camera and it holds up well, unless it gets dropped on a tile floor which is what happened to the first one!!

I originally got the camera because I was going on a very important trip to New York and my old camera has a very slow reaction time while taking pictures, so I would always be missing action shots. This camera is great with actions, stills, and just about every other type of picture.

I was really disappointed with this camera. When I bought it, I wish I had returned it at a reasonable time. Horrible picture quality. Especially when you're trying take scenery pictures...a lot of items come out really fuzzy. I've had 5 cameras before this (all of which I gave to family members as gifts...not because I didn't like them) and this was by far the worst camera I have ever bought. I'm very knowledgeable about cameras and I adjust the settings as appropriate...and they still come out terrible. I wish I could exchange this camera. What a waste of money.

I am loving my camera. It takes great pictures and I can keep it handy because it is always with me in a little case in my purse. I love having it so I can take pictures of such wonderful spontaneous moments to remember. Another thing is that I can carry the battery charger right with the camera in the same case. I bought this camera to replace mine that I had when I first started college four years ago. This is an amazing camera for the price. Its compact, light, and very durable. Its also very bright and easy to use. The controls are simple and it makes taking pictures a breeze. It takes pictures very quickly and there is hardly any time between shots. Only when using the flash is there a delay. From the moment you turn it on till you can take a picture is so fast I can hardly respond. Its a great camera and I have yet to find a problem with it. A great price and a great camera. Doesn't really get any better for someone who wants a compact camera to take photos.

I use a large cannon with zoom for most of my shots in my journalist job. This camera is the great alternative when the big camera doesn't fit the situation. Great quality. Slim to fit in pocket. Easy to use. Loads into photoshop great, along with the large cannon I use.
The video feature which lets you zoom in what is being filmed is an added bonus. Nice style. Good buy. Would buy it again if shopping again.

Two of the best things (small and easy to keep clean) are also a drawbacks for me. It may be difficult to handle for you as it is for me if you have large hands. With that, it takes great pictures. With the image stablization even my wife takes a great picture.
