This camera takes excellent photos. My husband purchased the waterproof housing for it and he usees it when he goes scuba diving. The quality of the dive photos is the best we have seen. My husband did a lot of research before we purchased this camera and asked a lot of people for their opinions. This camera came highly recommended and it has held up the strongly to those recommendations.

I had a casio camera previously and liked it. I lost it, though, and replaced it with this one. If this one were thinner and available in colors (like pink), it would be perfect. It's a good camera, just a bit heavy and thicker then I'd like.

Bought this camera before our Disney 2009 trip in January thanks to recommendations from Kim Komando. This camera is sleek and fit easily into my pocket, not much, if any, larger than my cell phone. The instant point and shoot of this camera took great pictures. The multiple "Best Shot" options allowed me to pick my condition and it automatically adjusted the camera for that settings, which works out great for me. My wife will use just the point and shoot option all the time, but that still takes great pictures.
I purchased a 16Gb UltraII SDHC card from Sandisk and it worked fantastic, especially for speed between writing images, and pretty much unlimited picture taking while on vacation (9,000+ pictures).

This is a serious picture taking machine! Amazing color and clarity. You can read the "online" manual one time and find your way around the settings easily. Unless you need serious Zoom capbilities, I do not see why you would need any other camera. Great job Casio!

GREAT ALL AROUND GREAT CAMERA, DIGITAL AND VIDEO.
SOME GREAT (BS)BEST SHOT MODES.
VIDEO IS EXELLENT, NO NEED FOR CAMCORDER TOO.
LESS LAG TIME BETWEEN SHOTS THAN OVER 25 OTHER CAMERAS I'VE USED AND EVERYONE COMMENTS ON HOW FAST IT REALLY IS.
WE'VE HAD 5MP, 6MP AND NOW THE 12MP AND THERE ALL GREAT.

I have a Nikon Digital SLR that is now used less and less due to the compact ability to carry the Casio with me everywhere I go. Now I never miss an opportunity to take a photo. "Better to have a camera-take a photo then decide to trash it, then to not have the camera and not have the ability to make that same decision".

great camera, pictures are very clear with lots of detail. i couldnt have picked a better replacement for my older exilim. the price cant be beat.

this is a great camera , have taken over a 100 pics and only had a couple of rejects. No user manual in box only a quick setup manual, user manual is in pdf format on disk(nearly 300 pages) If anything this camera has too many settings will need to spend some time learning the features.

For the money, I have yet to find a better compact digital camera. Armed with my compact tripod, two 4 gig SDHC cards, an extra battery (and the charger, USB cable and cradle in my suitcase), I took it to Antarctica for 7 weeks and it held up to the harsh conditions, drastic temp changes, constant use, and still took fantastic photos! I wish you could see all them!

I wish there was a way to use the USB directly with the camera, as the new SDHC cards require the most current card reader and are not backward compatible with built in reader in my laptop, but other than that I have no complaints. And the cradle does not require the AC Adapter to function, so that's not hard to get around.

The shake compensation is amazing, the color and clarity are fantastic and it even takes good movies!

I've had camera's by lots of other manufacturer's (that can't be named here apparantly) and no camera I've had compares to this one. I would put pictures from this camera up against those $1000.00 big boys anyday!

Unless you are shooting wildlife from a distance, or trying to get those professional shots of sport players like the sideline pros, this camera is all you could want and more!
