The Coolpix cameras are very easy to use and take great pictures. The main problem I have had with the Coolpix is when taking pictures at night and lights are on - the photos become blurry and are yellow in color. This could be operator error - I generally only use the Auto setting. It is small, fits in my purse and I appreciate the fact that it takes AA Batteries.

The L series Nikons are just what they are, a low cost camera that I use for backup to my others, I keep one in every vehicle I own for those quick shot situations. Clear pics, fast point and shoot. For the money, you'd be hard pressed to do much better.

I wanted a small inexpensive camera which I could just put in a pocket, unlike my D-60, so I bought the Nikon Coolpix. It takes good outdoor pictures, but at a recent indoor event, my pictures were not focused and the lightening was poor. I tried all different modes, and had flash on, flash off. Poor pics overall, got frustrated, threw it in my pocket, and had a friend take pics of the event.
