Easy to use camera for novice. I am still learning all the details. Takes nice clear pictures. I like the HD video feature which is the main reason I bought over other nikons. Pictures in low light blurry sometimes but that is probably due to my lack of knowing how to increase shutter speed.

I've had this camera for about two weeks. I have used it for indoor soccer photography, using both the manual shutter speed setting and the sports scene setting. I like the manual shutter speed better; the pictures are clearer and the speed at which the photos are taken is much faster than the sports scene setting.

Owners of the Nikon coolpix p100 had complained about indoor photo quality, but I have had no issues with is p500. The indoor shots are clear, with great coloration, even in low light. I love the flash settings; they make indoor photos fantastic!

The zoom feature on the camera's lens is amazing! It features a digital zoom, which does limit the size of the photo taken in this setting, but the picture is still very clear. It is especialy helpful for wildlife shots.

My only complaint is that I had to buy a small notebook to write certain things down rom the owner's manual, which is a cd-rom. Though this practice of electronic manuals is commonplace, I miss paper. It takes a lot of time to write everything of importance down in my little notebook, which is very helpful with a camera with so many settings.

Still exploring with the differnt features of this camera but love what I have explored so far. I have young kids and have found their pictures to be a bit blurry but I'm guessing I'm just not using the correct mode. I can't believe how clear the images are when everyone is still.

I use this camera constantly to take as many photographs as I can of my children. They are growing up so fast I must capture the best shots of them when I can or I'll miss them completely. Our old camera was so slow and would often miss the best moments.. this one never lets me down and I could never trust another with such precious memories!! Thanks Nikon!!!!
