I bought this camera to take on our family kayaking trips. Since then, have taken it to the beach, sporting events, parks, etc. Compact and easy to use. With the many scene mode options, you can take great pictures in almost any situation - underwater, low light/night, bright beach, etc. I am really impressed that such great pictures come from such a small camera.

i've been taking many pictures with my canon 20D and i love it however i always wanted to take pictures in the ocean because i live in hawaii... when i found this camera, i bought it right away to see how it is and i was amazed. at first, its totally waterproof! and the picture quality is really nice. im taking photos of my friends surfing and its quite hard to take pictures however with the High multi shot mode, i can take about 10-12 pictures in 5 SECS!!! thats crazy. also able to take movies is great. the quality is little poor however its a digital camera not a video camera.

I bought this camera to use on vacations, at the lake, with friends & any place I don't want to take my professional cameras. It has so many extras - 24 shooting modes, crushproof, freezeproof, waterproof (haven't tried that out yet). And it even has a manometer for air/water pressure. It takes really good pictures.
Overall, I really enjoy it! And it's so small & compact (I'm used to the large Digital SLR's). I take it everyhwere with me. I would say it is a very good buy! One camera you don't have to worry about getting beat up!

This camera is one of the best point and shoot cameras I,ve ever owned. I also have the olympus E-330 digital SLR. This camera is awsome for under water photography and takes great every day pictures. I highly recommend this for amature to professional users.

I bought and took this on a mini vacation my husband I went to. The pictures it took outdoors in the daytime were fantastic. On the flip side.. the night time shots were VERY disapointing. The flash is incredibly weak. Would I buy it again...yes because the MAIN reason for the purchase was the fact that I could take it out and not worry about getting it wet or banged around.

I use a Mark IIDS and am a semi professional photographer. The 770SW is perfect for trips to the beach or other camera inhospitable environments. Like all compact digitals, it is slow to acquire, so I do not recommend for sport photography. every professional shoould keep one of these babies handy as a quick backup. the quality in good light is excellent - a bit noisy in low light.
