I bought this for my grandma who really wanted a digital camera and was disappointed because it only had enough memory to store 10 pictures, then you had to delete or download to put on more pictures. What it needed was an additional memory card, but that wasn't made clear when I bought it at wolf camera. So what I thought was going to be a very exciting Christmas for her turned into a disappointment.

Crazy as it seems, liked the red color to match my red sportscar, will be a glove compartment regular in it. Have over 6 cameras but no Nikon brands and like it alot. Only dislike was some lag time in lower light and missed some expression shots otherwise looks like a fun camera that will be getting alot of vacation action this year.

This is a wonderful point and shoot. I had an older model that my toddler got ahold of...so, I needed a new one and this was the one. Great price, great quality! I loved my old one, and love this one too. It makes my baby's eyes look so beautifully blue (indoor and out) and has a quick shutter which is great for catching him in the act. This time I will make sure he doesn't torture it!!

This is a great little camera for the money. I had a Coolpix L6 that I was very happy with until it got dropped and then the lens would not open again. This one has some improvements over the L 6 and so far, I am very happy with it. It does all that I need and more, as a casual photographer.

This was a Christmas gift for my wife. I got a great deal thru the website and my wife totally loves the camera. We've taken tons of pictures and even videos which was a surprise to us cuz we didnt know we could do videos with it. it was a great purchase and we are extremely happy with the entire transaction and the product.

When I have the digtal camera, some thing like olympus,casio and kodak. This one is the best one.The olympus len is very good. When you check the pic,the colors is really good, but the control pad is not like nikon l18 is really easy and the pics is really good, the most important the price is good too.

I like the size of this camera in my hand and the ease in which you can pull it out, quickly focus and get GREAT shots. The 8megapixels gives great clarity to detail. The different auto settings help in many situations. I highly recommend this camera.

I use this product for capturing the memories I share with family and friends, and I could not be more impressed. Holidays and special occassions are captured perfectly by this sleek, easy to use camera. The ability to capture the moment while it is happening without worrying about blurry shots is amazing. Even when I am out with friends at a concert or in a bar, the coolpix yeilds flawless photos in the dark setting. The only complaint I would think of is the battery power this phone consumes, but problem solved when I invested in some rechargable batteries. it has been great taking pictures of my three children,including video of them doing the greatest things.we all enjoy being able to adjust the picture size on camera before we upload them.its light weight,small , perfect for my pocket book,pocket etc....the only thing that was faulty was the baterries,they ran out a day later.would've have been better if they found a way to offer recharcheable

I enjoy teaching my godchild at age 6 how to use the camera and she is able to critique the pictures she wants printed; even a child can operate it well. I belong to the Nikon family and have 6 Nikon cameras plus the new coolpix. I like quality and realiability. I am encouraging this product to my godchild because the cameras never really depreciate; they become classics that still operate today as they did when I first bought them

This is my first digital camera. My daughter picked it out because it takes AA batteries and seemed like the shooting menus looked very user friendly. The menus ARE easy to navagate. The only thing I would change is the placement of the 2 buttons on top, I've accidentaly hit them a time or two.

The batteries are not that great, it kind of bulky, and the zoom isn't that great. plus you can't make it black and white, sepia, etc. like other camera's do so it lacks in several areas. i do not suggest, it is more of a camera for someone who doesn't know how to use it yet.

I use this camera all of the time for pictures of my children and my niece and nephew. The pictures are always clear and I love taking pictures without lag time. It's great! The only thing that could make it better would be a charger. I hate worrying about batteries.

This was my daughter's 16th birthday gift, and she loves it big time. As a budding artist, she really likes the crisp shots, accurate colors and how easy it is to take great pictures.
The lens locked open after 8 months of use, so I sent it off to Nikon for repairs. It came back working like new, so even though the mechanics were a bit weak, they stood behind their L18.
Best gift for any teenager, in my opinion.

I bought this for my over 70 husband who never could get it right when there was more than one button to push....unless it's a TV Remote control...that doesn't need programming. If he can handle this camera, anyone can. He doesn't need all the manual controls to get confused, and this one takes care of everything automatically. The price is right for the quality, too. Only a fool wouldn't buy this, yet - even a fool can work it. Go get one and enjoy! The colors are hot, too.

I've had this camera a few weeks and I've used it in many different situations. It has performed very well in most cases. Still have some problem with red eye even with the red eye reduction, but lighting is good even in low lighting and night time situations. Battery life is good. I'm still learning all the functions but for overall general use this is a great camera, especially for the price! And love the big screen!

Need to adjust sleep mode. Doesn't come out of it quickly when I need a picture. Overrides my commands like use of flash. Guess I just need to practice more. I like the greater distance for flash. It seems quick to focus but the delay in the actual picture taking misses the shot.

I love that my cute red camera is small enough to go everywhere with me. The LCD screen is such a great size to actually see how the picture will be once downloaded. This is my 4th digital camera and hope it is my last.

I document trips that I take to various cities, including trip to Africa to visit HIV/AIDS programs. The camera is lightweight and small enough to fit easily into hand baggage, briefcase or carry on my hip. Yet it provides great, clear pictures, with more than enough pixels for significant editing. Cons - it uses battery power up too quickly.

Love the 3" LCD screen. I Have had other cameras with smaller LCDs and they where hard to judge the picture, if it was good or needed to be taken again. Good Batt. consumtion, Inexpensive SD card, Great little camera and I got a free printer with it who could ask for more.

This camera is a great combination of price, value and features. It's great for a beginner or someone who is MUCH more advance. It's lightweight and fits nicely in the hand (presuming you are right handed). The large viewing screen makes it easy to capture any subject.

The only negative is that this camera uses standard batteries and they need to be replaced often.

Great little camera for the price plus a free printer can't go wrong, Rebate check for printer came early. I have another Nikon 35mm SLR still takes great pictures Nikon lens are very good for the price. I would recommend this brand over most.

I had my L18 for a month and a half when the LCD screen went bad. Turned it on and had black spots and lines all over it. Sent in to Nikon for warranty service and they said the screen had been damaged (NOT…it has been sitting on a counter since the last time I used it) and it was not covered and would cost over $100.00 to fix! [...]Nikon warranty and service stinks. Stay away from this product and Nikon in general. Canon makes a much better product and takes care of their customers.

This is one great camera. I was looking for an inexpensive "point and shoot" camera to take on vacations, one that's quick, light and small. It fits in my shirt pocket.
With 8.29 MP and Nikon lens system, the pictures are sharp, crisp and color-true. A 3" LCD display and easy setup menu makes it a cinch to review pics and change modes. Quality of hardware is also high. I have a big superzoom SLR with all features, but this Coolpix is more fun to take along for quick shots.
Low light pics without flash are also very good with little noise. I plan to use a 4GB SDHC to capture high-res pics and short movies - should have plenty of room.
