A highly practical medium telephoto lens with superb delineation and portability. Images are sharp and clear at all apertures. Through computer simulations, the lens has been designed to give beautiful background blur. Since the front lens group does not rotate during focusing special filter effects are not affected.

I usually use this lens when photographing indoor weddings, but I have also used it outside for late evening shots. Blurs backgrounds beautifully and gives a clear, vibrant picture of the subject.

I love this lens for portraits! I truly love taking pictures of my family, I'm a father of 5, with 3 of them under 12 still at home... This lens helps me capture them under any light source, for the most awesome portraits. Depending on the background, the subjects on the protraits look like they are ready to come out of the picture, with an awesome bokeh behing them. I also use this lens for nature shots, the colors, the clarity and the bokeh are plain beautiful.
