I love the depth that I am able to add to my pics with this lens. I am a Beginner and I am pleased with the ease of use as well as the final result. I am using this with my K200D

Comments about Pentax Pentax 55-300mm smc DA f/4-5.8 ED Lens:
I bought this lens to capture high school soccer action. It integrates well both with the Pentax K20D and Ist D cameras and has provided good images even at low light (dusk) shooting conditions under field lights. The minimum focus distance has not been a problem and I find that this is a great general use telephoto lens for the Pentax digital SLR cameras.
Shot at dusk under field lights (1/500s, ASA 1600)

Comments about Pentax Pentax 55-300mm smc DA f/4-5.8 ED Lens:
I used this lens for wildlife viewing. The wide diameter lens captures lots of light so when the camera is used in auto mode it can take a quick picture of moving objects with nice sharp defined edges. Unfortunately you will have to buy a separate set of filters to accommodate the wider diameter lens.

Comments about Pentax Pentax 55-300mm smc DA f/4-5.8 ED Lens:
I am new to shooting moving objects. It is light weight and easy to get centered on the shots. The lense auto focus is a little erattic at first but I figured it out after 1/2 an hour of shooting. Not a long time in the over all sceme of learning to use a new camera K10 and lense. It will take more experience to get great pictures in different conditions.I got 3 (perfect pictures) out of 80 photos of a high level horse lesson. I was happy with that results. Nice clear images and very bright in color.
