It is wonderful. Very useful while taking photos of my sons football games. Very light weight but stable at the same time. It came in black besides silver but in my case its a plus.

just two legs short of a tripod and that makes it so very light, portable, backpackable... and provides the stability and quick set-up needed for those pics of animals and telephoto scenes encountered along the hike. Great Product!

At the top is a foam wrap-around grip and hand support strap for use as a hiking stick. Strong construction, sections lock securely, carries camera on top (with added head), easy to collapse and carry in luggage. Lean against tree for stability when taking telephoto pics.

Good product for the price. Product came in black not white/sliver shown in the photo.
Comments about Bogen Bogen Monopod 676B 4-Section Light-Weight:
This monopod is everything you would expect from a Bogen product and is indispensable when you can't use a tripod. One slight disappointment was a poor design of wrist strap.
Also, it came in black, not silver. No complaints on the color :)

I took some test photos while using it and they turned out fine. The product arrived in a black color, not the light color pictured, which was fine with me. It's 19" long closed and 60" fully extended. That's about it. Some things are simple. It does the job and I'm totally satisfied with it.

I took some test photos while using it and they turned out fine. The product shipped in a black color, not the light color pictured, which was fine with me. It's 19" long closed and 60" fully extended. There's a 1/4" mounting screw on top so technically you won't need a head, but I bought one anyway. You'll want a head that swivels, otherwise it's redundant with the existing mounting screw. That's about it. Some things are simple. It does the job and I'm totally satisfied with it.
