Comments about Canon 50mm 1.8 II EF Lens:
This is a great lens! It is a great quality portrait lens. It allows you to control the depth of field and shoot with confidence in low light. The images come out crisp and with a soft blur in the background providing great detail to the subject. The price might detour you from purchasing the lens because it is very inexpensive, but it is worth the purchase. I have consistently received quality shots and it has paid for itself multiple times. The only downside is that the lens is made of plastic, but you would never know with the quality of photos you get with it. If your on a budget and need an upgrade lens this is an excellent choice!

Comments about Canon 50mm 1.8 II EF Lens:
I did a lot of reading about this lens and decided that i couldn't NOT have it. It's inexpensive and produces clear shots. Sure, the build quality is "cheap" but hey... if it breaks, buy another! That's the beauty of it.
When I first got the lens I was eager to use it at f1.8. I find that it's not all that clear at that aperture, but it gets much better at around f2.2.
I'm impressed with the low light ability. Shots that would have been too dark are now completely within the realm of achievable!
Pros
- cheap price
- Sharp images
- Works good in low light
Cons
- No zoom
Best Uses
- Close ups

Comments about Canon 50mm 1.8 II EF Lens:
This lens never comes off my camera! It is very versatile I've used it for every type of photography you can imagine. It's small and lightweight. It doesn't have any zoom features, but becuase it's 50mm there is really no reason for it. Pictures are very sharp with this, the 50mm f/1.8 takes any object and makes it beautiful. If you don't have enough money for the f/1.4 this is a perfect alternative.
