Comments about Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
When I graduated from the Canon XSi to the Canon 7D, I expected there to be a steep learning curve. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use the 7D has. Controls and menus are laid out in a logical, user-friendly manner. The LCD screen is large and easy to see. The Live View function is great for people like me who have a little trouble seeing through viewfinders.
Pictures from the 7D are silky-smooth, and there is very little noise until reaching the very high ISO's. I like the ability to shoot both a RAW and JPG format picture at the same time. The 18 megapixels mean that prints are always very good, even if you do them from your own computer.
Video quality is very good, even better than that from my regular camcorder. In fact, it's so good I'm giving away the camcorder. Also, I like the fact that the video resolution is much larger than my camcorder was. No more squinting at 800X600 videos on my 1280X800 laptop screen!
The only thing I was a little put off with at first was the slightly larger size and heavier weight (compared to the XSi). However, I quickly got used to that, and even found that the 7D is easier to hold and focus than the XSi. All in all, I am very pleased with my new 7D, and I'm very glad I made the investment. It is a huge step up!

Comments about Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Had read several reviews and videos, tutorials about this product, and was thinking between the MK DII and the 7D. Somehow thought that the 7D would give me some extra money for adding a few lenses that i need. Boy was i right !..
Was on the road test shooting in New York City, and this baby is a treat to work with. Things you will notice about the 7D Are :
1. Body : the best body design by Canon - Period. it's not heavy, and has an amazing grip. The materials used are best in class, and it being weatherproof is evident when you hold it. The Buttons are well laid-out, and almost every function has 2 ways to configure it, suiting the most demanding of shooting conditions. Took me 20 minutes to figure out the controls (Being a Canon user).
2. AF : The AF is snap-fast, also in the low-light situations. The 19 Point AF is a killer feature to have, and setting up the grid view on the viewfinder makes it easy to choose the layout of your photographs.
3. Viewfinder : The first thing you notice as you look into the viewfinder is how BIG the view looks, for someone who would never use Live-view, this is an important feature.
4. Battery Life : The battery charges much faster than the previous cousins, and has still not drained out after 2 days of use.
5. Noise Reduction : Even at high ISO's the noise reduction is pretty impressive. at 100% crop the images are clean and need lesser post processing... which is necesary for the huge 18mp files you would process.
So will update more if there are any specifics you would want to know about it.
Nikon - get something comparable in your line-up or lose market share !
