| An affordable Nikkor that combines the ease of autofocus operation with advanced Nikon optics. Ideal for scenery or full-length portraits. Through a 50mm lens subjects viewed with the camera appear about the same size as when viewed with the human eye, which is one of the reasons why 50mm lenses are called normal. Weighs only 5.1 ounces. Stops down to f/22 for additional depth of field control. |

Comments about Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor AF Lens:
I bought this lens for just general snapshot type use. Indoors and outside. I got it because it is lightweight and easy to carry instead of carrying around the heavy lens that came with my D7000. So far, I am very pleased.

Comments about Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor AF Lens:
Given the low price you wouldn't think that this is a very good lens. The reality is that this is one of the sharpest lenses you can get for a Nikon camera at any price. Unlike the newer and more expensive 50mm lenses, this lens has no visible distortion. Unfortunately, this is not a very rugged lens, and certainly not a piece of equipment you'd want to bang around a lot, but if you're one of those people who obsesses about image quality and have a budget to keep, this is a must have lens.

Comments about Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor AF Lens:
Great lense for the price, it takes great shots but i am a little dissapointed that the AF feature does not synch with my camera. It is difficut to manually focus every time you move. This I do not like when trying to get children who move a lot. But all and all for the price it was a great deal, the shots are beautiful with a very nice blur to the background. I just cant wait to get a camera that it is compatable with.

Comments about Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor AF Lens:
I'm new to using a DSLR. I wanted this lens to use in low light on my D7000 and to have something lighter than the kit lens it came with. So far I've been very pleased with it. I've taken close ups, indoors and out, as well as snapshots in various light, and landscape pics and they've all turned out very well.

Comments about Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor AF Lens:
The lens provides great bokeh and is awesome in low lighting, especially for cameras that are not great in low light themselves. Consistently, when just shooting around for fun, my friends ask to see pictures i've taken of them and are amazed at how naturally professional the photos look
