I bought this product so I can download pics to my laptop. Battery power is too slow and the card reader I use for my other digital doesn't work with the Canon. It's fast and handy and the laptop has no trouble finding the device and downloading. Very easy compared to my previous efforts. However, it would be ideal if there was a card reader that worked. Couldn't find one so this will have to do. This would not work for travel in foreign countries as the power is DC.
