Comments about Aiptek MPVR Digital Camcorder:

If you are looking to be blown away by this camcorder you probably will be disappointed and should invest in a more expensive one, This is a good buy for someone who wants a starter camcorder and just wants to have fun shooting short video clips of family, friends and pets to share with friends. I have not used all the features yet but so far have found it easy to use and am looking forward to just playing around with it. I like that it has a re chargable battery, and the price is right, I found it on sale for [$], so for me it was worth the price. Hope this helps.I would recommend this to someone who just wants to have fun sharing videos with friends.

Comments about Aiptek MPVR Digital Camcorder:

Absolutely top-notch camera/camcorder combination, but the other "features" are tacked on and it shows. The unit suffers from a very low volume playback, so the video & MP3 players are useless with headphones. The only audio the unit can record comes from a low quality built-in mic prone to picking up noise from camera handling. And since the LCD must be open for the unit to power up, using the voice recorder function is even more difficult. But if you're willing to put the unit atop a tripod, you've got a very versatile camera or camcorder. Video is best shot with some light and from a tripod when indoors, but the low light setting can take several second exposures. I have some wonderful shots of a bar with the staff being nothing but smears of color. (Remember to use the self-timer to avoid camera shake & blurry photos.) The unit also allows for manual control over most functions, WB and exposure being two I frequently used. On the video front, it records direct to the memory card in the popular MPG4 format. You can load this video directly into most updated editing programs. The two video settings lets you record video ideal to e-mail to friends & family or shoot better quality for posting on web sites. I've used the camcorder to shoot POV footage while riding a bike and walking. I've even edited the MPG4 video into programs shot on miniDV, albeit labeled as AltheteVision. The unit's compact size & ease of use encouraged me to shoot (& share) much more video of our cats and family & friends fooling around. And from what I've seen, that's exactly the kind of thing you see on video sharing sites. So not only would I recommend this unit, I've already done it on several occaisions.

Comments about Aiptek MPVR Digital Camcorder:

You get what you pay for but it's alot of bang for your buck. Good Video quality for well lit and outdoor areas, and simple and easy to use interface. Picture Quality isn't greatest and video quality suffers in low light. But all around a good Digital Camcorder

I wouldn't recomend it. Also it has an mp3 player in it but it stinks. It freezes up all the time and you have to send it back and get a new one.
