| Nikon D7000 DX-Format Digital SLR Camera Features Meet the new Nikon D7000, a camera ready to go wherever your photography or cinematography takes you. Experience stunning images with sharp resolution and smooth tonal gradation, thanks to the 16 megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor and a powerful EXPEED 2 image processing engine. Take advantage of its wide ISO range of 100 to 6400 (expandable to 25,600) and its incredibly low levels of noise. Expect your images tack-sharp and accurately exposed, thanks to the cameras 39-point AF and Scene Recognition System using a 2,016-pixel RGB matrix metering sensor. And with an approx. 0.052-second release time lag and approx. 6 frames-per-second shooting, you wont miss a moment. Youll see exactly what youre capturing with the approx. 100% frame coverage viewfinder, and for those who want to shoot both stills and movies, the D7000s D-Movie capabilities now include Full HD 1080p capture with full-time autofocus and manual exposure. All of this advanced imaging technology is kept safe beneath the magnesium alloy covering the top and rear chassis of a compact body, whose sealing has been severely tested against moisture and dust. The D7000 is ready to shoot indoors and out, and at 150,000 cycles tested, the cameras durable shutter unit helps you keep shooting. Combine all this with the unmatched NIKKOR lens lineup and Creative Lighting System and you have everything you need to explore your imagination to its fullest. Comments about Nikon D7000 DX-Format Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
This camera is a step-up for me. I strted in photography 3 years ago with a D3000. It has been a good camera for me to start with, but now that I have the D7000 I had no idea what I was missing out on. The image clarity is amazing. The difference in the range and noise visibility in regards to ISO is significant. The access to the camera functions and settings without accessing the menu are very handy and intuitive. I love the dual dials to control shutter speed and f/stop. All in all a great package at a very reasonable price.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DX-Format Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
A good choice for superior creativity as well as ease of use. I have been taking photos for 40 years and this camera is user friendly (if you are patient and have a little SLR knowledge)yet my wife uses it the Auto mode with great results. A little expensive for a beginner, but worth the price once the pictures/video can be seen.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DX-Format Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
It is great to have peace of mind when doing weddings to have the auto backup. When I shoot high school sports I use the extra card for over spill. The speed of shooting and color is amazing. Out of 750 shots, I drop less than 2% because they are out of focus when shooting soccer. The battery last longer than I do, no matter how big a lens I'm carrying. For sample shots check out Flickr- imagesofyoupeculiar.
I'll buy another one just to have.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DX-Format Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
I am a semi-pro photographer that specializes in nightlife photography and videography, sports and leisure photography and video, and portraits. I was previously shooting on a Nikon D90. Wow, is this a nice upgrade! The video quality is amazing (rivals anything I've previously used, including camcorders) and now you can shoot 20 min video clips (instead of the D90's 5 minute limit) as well, and you don't need to convert the videos to edit them anymore! They are ready to use! This was one of my biggest problems with the D90. The dual memory card slots are awesome! Picture quality is excellent, even at relatively high ISO. The controls were similar to the D90, so making the switch was easy. Definitely recommend this camera!!

Just learning to use this camera, has lots of features. I take pictures for an on line auction company, as well as for my self. I am using this camera in camera raw, something I didn't do before, and it has produced some very satisfactory results.

The survey comes too soon after delivery of my new Nikon D7000. Have not used it sufficiently to responds to most of your questions.
